The city plans to link more than 2,000 public surveillance cameras in a network that would use sophisticated software to alert authorities to potential crimes or acts of terrorism, Mayor Richard Daley said Thursday.

CAPS Beat 1433 Meetings

The CAPS program allows local residents to meet with police officers and community members to inform them of criminal activity and concerns. Through a strong public dialog with local police we as citizens can learn how to better protect our neighborhood.

CHICAGO BUCKTOWN CAPS FORUM

Bucktown Caps Forum covers Beats 1424,1431, 1433, and 1434 in Bucktown and Wicker Park. A new topic is "Gangs of Beat 1433" updating the neighborhood on gang activity: Latin Jivers and Maniac Latin Disciples. In "Combat in Beat 1433", the problem of Brown Rats at Walsh Park is identified.
